Tortoises are animals in Lost Ember.
Abilities[]
Tortoises, similarly to sloths, don't have any real abilities. There are only 2 things tortoises can do apart from walking: When you press spacebar, the tortoise will pull its head and legs inside of its shell, and if you press 3 while the tortoise is close to a papaya-looking fruit in the jungle, then the tortoise will eat/break the fruit.
Appearances[]
Tortoises only appear in the jungle, in Chapter V: Wayla. They're very big and easy to see, and are absolutely adorable, although they are incredibly annoying to actually use due to their very slow speed.
